EFS.TMP being left behind when encrypting new files
Hi
Until today I have been using EFS encryption on my Windows 7 Pro 64 without a problem.
Today I moved an additional folder in into my encrypted folder. When I tried to copy it out again (I frequently make unencrypted copies a secure drive), I found it to be full of EFS0.TMP EFS1.TMP etc files. I do not have ownership to read these files so
I can't make a copy of the folder anymore.
These EFS0.TMP etc. temporary files never used to get left behind when encrypting. I have not changed anything related to encryption recently as far as I know.
Surely this is a bug, right? Does anyone know what might cause this and what the solution might be?
Thanks in advance.
Update: I did recently install Microsoft Security Essentials.
