what issues have you had to deal with since installing EMET?

None.I have IE, Outlook Express and Adobe Acrobat reader 10 set to use EMET. No slow downs or additional resources used. I only very occasionally open the EMET GUI to check that the set apps are indeed using it (which they are). It's not triggered anything so far so no idea whether it has actually protected me from any threats (I'm a careful browser, with the usual AV/firewall etc.) so never got infected before installing EMET, nor since.<wesley.chin> wrote in message news:Email removed for privacy...what issues have you had to deal with since installing EMET?

I downloaded and installed EMET yesterday with apparent success on two HP laptops. This entailed downloading and updating MS .NET framework 3.5. The GUI is as simple to use as claimed. My problem is also simple - the toolkit is not working. Both pcs have Windows XP pro, Windows Firewall, Avast av and Malwarebytes. On both pcs the EMET system configuration only allows DEP and Application Opt In. Following the instructions, I configured the system first (I had no choice - it had to be custom) and rebooted. Then in Applications Configuration I navigated to Internet Explorer.exe and saw it added to the EMET list. When I returned to the window showing what running processes are now running EMET the column was empty and repeated efforts don't change this.I'm only an individual, home office type user with not much clue about stacks and heapsprays. I followed the EMET route because of reported scares that IE had newly exposed vulnerabilities.Hope you have some simple advice.
