Have tried all the suggested ideas and still am receiving the 1618 error. I am trying to install Family Tree Maker Delux 2011. Please help me with this as it is extremely frustratind. I am running Vista64 sp2.

Hi, This issue may occur if you are attempting to install multiple applications, please understand that Microsoft Windows Installer can only run one installation at a time. You can open Task Manager to verify that. Please try to install it in the Clean Boot environment. If the issue persists, please go to verify the Windows Installer service.
