Error 651 Windows 7 PPPoe no internet connection
I have an eMachine (64 bit) running Windows 7. For over a year I was able to get internet access then one day - poof! The infamous error 651 came up and I can't connect. Called ISP they said it was a problem with something in Windows 7 not liking the modem for extended DSL (an encoding issue). At any rate they couldn't help and said to check the internet for fixes. Have tried all fixes I have found in forums and nothing works. I don't have Virtual PC and my device manager says no problems with adaptors. Did a clean boot, not fixed. Have not installed any new programs. Thank you for solutions,
