i've gone through the previous posts on the same topic but the problem seems to be persistent.. i got a dell inspiron 1545, i ran a diagnostic on the drive and it showed a error message code 2000-0146 i.e error code 0146, hard drive 0. after going through the posts, scheduled a check disk for error and attempt to fix bad sectors. later on did defrgmentation and disk clean up, after restarting it worked well for a few days and the blank screen reappears. i scheduled for a check disk, it runs well when a check disk is done but the blank screen appears when a check disk is not scheduled. i started a check up on the disk using dell support center software and it flags that the "targeted read test and SMART short self test" fails... please help.....
