Error code 0x80070659__Cannot install any antivirus software!
Alright. I've been trying to get Microsoft Security Essentials installed for almost two weeks now, and following another user's advice, I uninstalled my antivirus to prep for installing MSE. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now, I'm not so sure, as I'm unable to install ANY antivirus.I'm going to wager my computer is infected with some form of virus. Now, I know, this isn't Microsoft's problem. However, could someone please provide me with a bit of help so I can get MSE installed without completely wiping out my C drive? (If I have to, I have a recovery partition on this computer, and even a Microsoft Windows backup disc.. but I'd really like to avoid that if at all possible. I have a lot on this drive.)So, I just want to know if anyone has any idea of what I might be able to do.I HAVE installed a firewall, and am using PC Tools regularly, along with Malwarebytes and even using an internet-based antivirus program known as Housecall. This BARELY works, and it consumes such a great deal of my computer's resources, I'm worried it'll crash if I use it more than once a day.Again, someone, PLEASE help me out here. Please. I'm desperate for any form of help that can be given. Thank you.1 person needs an answerI do too

Back up your data now if you haven't done so already. That way no matter what happens you'll have your files. Uninstall the third-party firewall before you start the scanning suggested below. XP comes with its own Firewall and third-party firewalls can often be problematic and are rarely necessary. In fact, this third-party firewall may be causing all your issues. If problems continue even after uninstalling the firewall, even though you said you've scanned, uninstall all security/antivirus programs and go through the steps at the link below. Don't skip the preparatory work. If you are connected directly to a cable/dsl modem with no router, get the tools you will need first and then disconnect from the Internet before you uninstall security software. If you have a router you don't need to do this; just don't be surfing around unprotected.http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_MalwarePost back with what happened if you need more help.
