Error message when restarting..Cannot find 'file:///'. Make sure the path or Internet address is correct.
Operating System:Windows XP Version:Internet Explorer 8I had other error messages and problems getting internet explorer to even work installing internet explorer 8. So I uninstalled 8, reinstalled 7 and then upgraded to 8 again. Other messages went away and internet explorer now works, but this message still appears after EVERY restart.

This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" stateAlso, see the section on how return your computer to a Normal startup mode by following the steps under “Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state”, after performing the clean boot troubleshooting.Let us know the results.
