Error on opening files after upload to a shared folder
I am not sure if this is a windows 7 related problem, but we are experiencing this in an enviroment with only windows 7 and server 2008 R2. Some users often experience that they cannot access files they have uploaded to the local server unless they wait for 5-10 minutes. They get the error that the file is either in use or write-protected. Example: They edit a document locally on their computer, uploads it to the share, and then when trying to open the file from there, they get the error. Then they have to wait 5-10 minutes before they can open it. It doesn't matter if they have full permissions and ownership of the file, or full permissions to the share they are uploading to. They still get the error. Error also occurs even if the share is on DFS or not. Does anyone have an answer to this? I will try my best to provide with any necessary information if needed.

Hi, It should be a networking issue. I suggest first updating your network adapter driver from the manufacture manually. Also disable Security Software on both sides. If the issue persists, it seems the first session doesn't stop. I suggest contacting server forum to confirm if any settings is needed. I'm having the same issue, have you seen any resolution to this problem yet? I've updated NIC drivers, disable power management, and I'm still getting this issue.
