Error the remote device or resource won't accept the connection, IE11 + Windows 8

I am able to connect and access webpages on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, but when I try to load a page on Internet Explorer is says: "This page can't be displayed". This is also the case for several windows services that require internet connection (BUT NOT ALL).

Please run a system file check (SFC) & DISM if you are on win 8 or higher

Hi wew84,

Firstly please check if you have incorrect proxy setting:

1. Open the Internet Explorer, click Internet options.

2. Click the Connections tab, and then click the LAN settings.

3. Click Automatically detect settings and verify that there is check mark in the box beside it.

4. Click OK to close the windows. Restart Internet Explorer and verify the issue is resolved.
