Error when renaming a recently accessed network folder in Windows 7
My director stumbled upon a problem with renaming a network folder. If he'd just been in that folder, or if he had just renamed it, renaming it again came up with a "Folder is in use" error. Discovered that I could click "Try Again" after about 1 minute, and it would work. After some testing and head scratching I was able to determine that it only applied to network folders that contained a PowerPoint presentation file. The problem doesn't exist when tried on a local disk. I managed to reproduce this issue on my own machine, which tells me it's a system wide nuisance. When renaming the same folder from an XP machine, there was no problem. I guess my question is; why does this happen, and is there a way to stop Windows7 lagging behind on this? Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

· Hi, Please try the following steps to troubleshoot this issue: 1. Please boot the computer in Clean Boot to test the issue. 2. Right-click on Computer, choose Manage, then Services and Applications, then Services. Please disable the “Windows Search” service to test it. Hope this helps.
