Excluding a sub-folder within a windows 7 library
Is there a way to include a folder in a Windows 7 library and then exclude a folder within that library? ex. Folder AAA --Folder BBB --Folder CCC --Folder DDD In this case I would include Folder AAA in my library. Is there a way to exclude Folder CCC? Or does Including the main folder mandate that I include all the sub-folders? Thanks

Hi misterdanI don't think there is a way to accomplish this. The Library is just a 'mirror' of the folders that are added, so all of the sub-folders will be included. The main function and benefitof Libraries is to be able to have access tofolders and files from many different locations from one convenient location on the system drivewithout taking up the free space on the system drive.Hope this helps.Thank You for using Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

Ronnie Vernon MVP Are you saying that by removing a folder from Libraries>Documents, we do not, in fact, delete that folder and all its sub folders from the hard disk? If that is the case, it seems Microsoft would have made the role of Libraries clearer if the folder icons within them were shortcut icons instead of normal folder icons.Remove BOGUS from email address to reach me.
