Extracting data from Window 7's CSC
Hi all Problem description: A Client turned on offline files on a network share that deals with an application they use (for storing bookings, as it happens) The devalopers of the application noticed this, and turned off offline files. The application is now in sync across all the users but... all the changes the user made are of course lost. I need a way of extracting the folder out of the offline files CSC in the same way you'd do it with CSCCMD.exe in XP. Attempted fixes: I've copied the structure out of the CSC folder. The files are all there, only they're 0kb with many, many small files (which i assume are used by the OS to manage the offline files cache) -- Operating system: Windows 7 Professional x32, Server 2003 SBS Thanks for reading!

If I am not mistaken, turning-off/disabling CSC could render the cache useless. Also did he turn on encryption? because that could also cause some unusable files... -Dan

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply! He didn't turn on encryption. If that's the case then that's bad news for the client but we're really hoping for a solution.
