We are facing error while installation the FIM Synchronization Service.
The below is the error message.

Error 1935.An error occured during installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version="9.0.21022.8",publickeyToken="If c8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="ad64",type="win32".

Kindly help and suggest how to proceed further.

I order to assist can you please provide the following information:

• Windows Operating system and service pack version
• Version of FIM you are trying to install
• Versions of .Net installed

Based on the information it looks like a manifest error while trying to install the VisualC redistributable which indicates a patching issue on .Net. Please check if you have the following .Net frameworks installed and that they are patched correctly.

Are you running the install from an elevated command prompt? If not, I would suggest that you try that. Also make sure that the account running install is in the local administrators group as well.
