Fail to remote desktop from Windows 7 desktop to remote Windows server 2008
Hi, I am unable to remote desktop into a remote machine despite being able to ping to it
I'm using Window 7 Professional on a Dell Vostro 230 Machine, 32-bit operating system.
The error message I receive:
"This computer can't connect to the remote computer.
The connection was lost due to a network error. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact your network administrator or technical support."

Hi,
Can you use Remote Desktop to connect Windows 2008 machine from other machine?
To troubleshoot the issue, please try the following steps.
1. Temporarily disable firewall on each machine and run Remote Desktop.
2. Replace another Windows 7 and connect via Remote Desktop for a test. If the issue persists, please refer to the following article:
How to enable remote desktop for windows 2008 server
machine
Otherwise, I suggest you restart the problematic Windows 7 machine to Safe Mode with Networking to check the result.
If the issue persists, please capture the error message and
upload it. Please also help to collect the Event Log for
further research.
Thanks,
Novak
