I have a Win2K3 domain and mostly XP desktops with a few Vista desktops. When I logon with the local admin account on the Vista desktops, my file server and ONLY the file server(which is a domain member) receives the following error every 15-20 seconds: Security Failure Audit 6/30/2009 5:11:04 PM Account Logon NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Logon attempt by: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0 Logon account: local-admin Source Workstation: D61M23455 Error Code: 0xC0000064 When I logon using a domain account the errors do not occur. I searched on the web about this error, but there is not much out there.

Hi thanks for the post. Based on the error code, this issue may occur if you try to log on with a non-existing account. You can check if this is the case. Also, it seems this is a general Windows Server related issue.
