File Sharing - NLSU2
hi, i have a Linksys NLSU2 file server attached to my network. when i connect to it and go to my shared folderi'm not able to see all the directories in a shared folder!!! Is there some kind of security setting i need to change? I was able to rename one folder and then i was able to see it, but another folder i wasn't able to see after renaming. i'm able to see all files from my XP pro machines (account and password exist on all devices),and XP home machines after typing in a account and password. thanks for the help in advance, Eric

Make sure you have the latest firmware update from linksys. I have one on my network and i did not have any problems with seeing any shares or there subs. The one you are looking for if i remeber right is R2V63 -- Revision 2 version 6.3.

I got this fix from LINKSYS for NSLU2 with Vista. It worked for mewith Vista. This what I was given and used: From the RUN window: Run secpol.mscGo to: Local Policies > Security Options Find "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level"Change Setting from "Send NTLMv2 response only"to"Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated" Vista defaults to only send the more secure NTLMv2 protocol, which theseNAS devices / Samba do not support. Hopev this fixes your problem.
