File history not working correctly in Windows 8.1 Preview
I've recently installed Windows 8.1 clean install and I noticed when I made a backup using File history it didn't copy the libraries. The other folders like contacts, favorites and the desktop folders where copied as supposed to. And after each backup he said that it was all good. So it is a strange problem. Anyone knows an answer?

Hi,

You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

1. Open File History, check the Exclude folders.

2. OPen File History event logs to view recent events or errors from advanced settings.

Hi Niki Han,

I think I have found the problem. Windows 8 still using libraries which file history is based on but Windows 8.1 doesn't have these libraries anymore while file history is simply copied from Windows 8 and so will not back up the Documents, Pictures, Video's and Music folder. This was in a clean installation.
