Tried for months to get my laptop to join the homegroup, but it never would. Tried everthing I could find on this forum, no joy. Decide to try again today. Tried loads of stuff again no joy. My shares work ok, so was going to give up. The last thing I tried was to disable the wireless adapter and connect via the wired port. Turned it on and connected to the Homegroup just fine. Unpluged the wired connect and went back wireless and working just fine.
