I have installed Windows 7 Professional two times on my system, once as 32-bit and once as 64-bit (yes my processor is 64-bit). A problem happens about every other time I boot my computer. What happens is my windows will flicker(not a screen issue, the window acts as if I am selecting it/ deselecting it over and over, so when I use flicker I am referring tot his), and open windows the top bar will flash some. Also when I right click say my Windows Explorer icon (a popup menu would normally appear and let me select) the popup menu appears but then falls immediately as if I had clicked off it, which I assume is related to the flicker. Another thing that happens is my monitor won't sleep if it is in this state. I can simply fix this problem by restarting or going into sleep and then coming back out, and then it works with no problem. I am hoping someone knows how to fix this because it is annoying to have to do this check each time I start my system. The flicker happens with all my programs except the full screen ones.
