Folder Redirection Windows 7
Hi
We have recently set up a new SBS 2008 server, folder redirection is setup for both desktop and documents. This works fine with roaming profiles for all of the XP clients, but not for the Windows 7 Pro computers. We have added them into the domain fine and
they can login with there profile etc but the folder redirection does not work, we get this error when a user logs in.
"Network Error
Windows cannot access \\CLIENTPCNAME\Users\USERNAME\Desktop"
Also when you go to C:\Users\USERNAME there is no desktop or documents folder.
Folder redirection should be redirecting to \\server1\users\%USERNAME% with subfolders for desktop and documents.
Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks
Dan

Please change the path for Desktop to:
\\server1\users\%USERNAME%\Desktop
Otherwise the folder redirection will try to redirect the Desktop folder to the %USERNAME% folder and change its name to Desktop. This may be different than in Windows XP.Arthur Xie - MSFT
