Folder Redirection is Forcing Offline Files to be enabled?
I'm testing a small Windows 7 deployment on my Server 2008 Domain. We have redirected all folders in: User Configuration->Policies->Windows Settings->Folder Redirection These folders are redirected to a network file server. All is working well! However, the "Documents" folder is a problem for a few employees (the president and a couple of executives who have been at the company for decades). These users have enormous amounts of data in their "Documents" folder. Cleaning up / moving / deleting these files is not an option. The folder is so big that making it offline eats up their local hard drive. When I right-click & visit the properties of the "Documents" folder, I see there is a checkbox of "Always available offline." It is checked, and grayed out. I really wish I could uncheck this box for these few employees. Is there an effective way to do this for a few users, while keeping everyone else's redirected folders available offline as normal? Are all redirected folders forced into being available offline?

How about disabling offline files completely on those few employee's machines? This would solve the problem without affecting all other employees..
