GPO DNS Suffix search list not applied on Client PC
Hi, I have created a GPO with DNS Suffix search list enabled, containing multiple suffixes seperated by comma. I linked the GPO to the computer computer and my laptop is in that container. I ran GPUPDATE /Force on my laptop and rebooted my laptop. But i do not see the changes to dns suffix search list applied when i did ipconfig /all. I ran rsop.msc on my laptop, and click on Administrative template but stalled. Please help!

Hi, i think thats because your clients is optaining ip from a dhcp server try it on static configured client just for testing. however the DNS servers will not show up in an ipconfig /all so it may appear that the policy is not working but if you were to look at a network trace you would see the NS queries going to the correct Name servers. hope that's helpful :) Abeer

Hello I have the same problem, and I can confirm that the GPO is applied, but it not worked good. I can't see the list of the suffixes when I did an IPCONFIG /ALL. Just one, the first. When I try to ping a computer in an another domain of my list, it didn't respond. When I try the same test without the GPO and with the suffixes entered by keyboard, the ping respond well (and I see the suffixes list in the IPCONFIG /ALL) I think that it miss a parameter in the GPO but which one ? Can you help me ? Sincerely
