HDMI bad video quality
hello im running win7 ultimate and nvidia Geforce 450 gts. i've connected my pc to my LG tv with mini-HDMI/DHMI cable. the video is working, but there are alot of white dots on the screen (similar to the old TVs when you saw nothing but alot of white dots on your screen). i can see everything thats on the screen, but in a very bad shape. any1 have any idea as to how to fix it? edit: up until 3 weeks ago i was using Linux and it was working well. so its probably not hardware problem

You may reinstall the graphic driver and check it again. Does the bad shape occur all the time or just playing movies? You could use another video player. What about the monitor, is it the same behavior as the LG TV? If not, you'd better replace the HDMI cable. Have you tried using a different connection (VGA, DMI)? If your Samsung monitor is working fine with your video drivers, it isn't an issue residing with your computer hardware or software. It's either the cable you are using with the LG tv, or the port being used with the LG tv. Or have you tried using your TV without your computer and still seen the white dots? They would be dead pixels if they are there no matter what.

hi as i said before, i used the same cable and TV with Linux and it worked fine till 2 weeks ago (when i changed to win7). the HDMI port in the TV is also good because my Satellite is connected with another HDMI cable to the TV and its working great.

Have you plugged it into the same HDMI port that your satellite goes to? If it works fine with your Samsung and not with your LG... hmm... What size is your LG?

And I think you should still try plugging it in with a DVI cable and see if that fixes it.

yes i have tried plugging it into the same port. the LG tv is 32" there shouldnt be anything wrong with the hardware, as it worked fine with Linux. the question is: whats the problem with the software
