HTML Application Script Error on Startup
My dad's WinXP machine is getting an Internet Explorer Script Error when it starts up. The error message points to a system file, C:/Windows/system32/adljvhlsde.hta.I do not know anything about Microsoft's HTML Application (which I'd never heard of before today). I tried opening this file with Microsoft HTML Application Host, but only got a white window with no menus or options to do anything. I tried editing adljvhlsde.hta in notepad, but the file was unreadable.I cannot find any information about this file on the internet, and cannot determine how to fix/restore it. It seems odd to me that Windows system includes this type of file. But I cannot remove it, for fear that it is important. What is this file? How do I fix it?Thanks,-Jeff1 person needs an answerI do too

Your dad's computer is infected and that file is malware. The computer needs to be cleaned up. http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all local shops are skilled at removing malware and even if they are, your computer may be so infested that Windows will need to be clean-installed. If possible, have all your data backed up before you take the machine into a shop.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
