Having problem with chkdsk
I had downloaded and installed TuneUP Utilities 2012 and it scheduled a chkdsk on startup. I let it do it but in the middle of it , it was taking a hell lot of a time so i restarted my computer when it was checking my External Seagate Hard Drive 1GB. Now i my ExHDD has gone corrupt and i can't access it . Please help me.

First of all, that was not a smart thing to do, but you most likely agree with me at this point ;) So when you say you cannot access it, does it still show a drive letter in Windows? If so you could run the following command, from an elevated (administrative credentials) command prompt: chkdsk /f x: And let it run, to see if it can resolve the issue. If that does not work or if you cannot access your disk, could you open disk management and tell us what it reports as status for the external disk?Jaap Brasser http://www.jaapbrasser.com
