Help, slow wireless network
Hi, I've been trying to figure this out for 3 months now and i still didn't get anywhere.I have a 10Mbps internet connection, connected to a router. My 1st computer is directly connected through ethernet cable in port 1. Another desktop is downstairs connected wirelessly (G speed). Now whenever the wireless desktop turns on, my 1st pc takes forever to load Google. But this never happens when my laptop is on the network with the 1st pc. So what's causing the problem?here is how the network map looks like:<http://www.flickr.com/photos/28826588@N05/2870775067/>Why does it show all the computers connecting through #3 to get on the internet? P.S. Computer #3 is not connected through a Ethernet cable, why is showing it like that?Thank you!

Hi, The network map isn't really a good measuring tool andI have yet to see accurate network maps. Your problem sounds more like the router is malfunction. What's your computer make and model? Could you try and connect the wireless desktop thru a ethernet cable and see how that works out?

Hey thx for relpying!I'm pretty sure its not the router's problem because i bought i new one. After a few days it started to have the same prob again. Both pcs are running vista. my first pc is custom built. i have to go check 2nd one. i guess i can try nd create a wireless bridge? i don't think i can connect it directly thru ethernet.

Hi, I'm sorry, I meant the router make and model. Is dhcp enabled on the router?
