Help--logon process has failed to create the security options dialog.
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium on a Dell XPS M1530.
I just started having a problem with firefox freezing. When I search for the task manager in the search bar under the start menu, it doesn't appear as it normally does. After ctrl+alt+delete, the screen goes black and after a minute or two a
dialog box pops up that is titled, "logon process has failed to create the security options dialog." with a message that reads, "Failure-Security Options."
The most current time this happened was when I booted my computer after having it off all night (shut down the same day the most current windows updates were installed). When this happens I need to do a hard restart. The problem fixes itself,
but comes back randomly.
Does anyone have any insights into what may be going on? I see that a ton of people are having the same problem, but under slightly different conditions.
Thanks,
