Help needed for the newtworking seting on Vista Ultimate
I just purchased a laptop with vista/ultimate, and a network system including a router, a switcher. I want to have a backup system on my small home network, and I set a 1TB of Network hard Drive. Now I have connected all those hardwires together, which follows Modem-Router-switcher-(the network hard drive + three computers + a printer). The other two computers are using XP. Please help me to set up a small home network with the network backup system either in wired or wireless.
Appreciated.

Hi Geoffreyhu,
You may consider to use the Windows Vista built-in backup utility (Backup and Restore Center) to backup the data in Windows Vista. Ive included the following information about Windows Backup and Restore Center for your reference:

Backup and Restore states that it will do differential backups after the initial full backup, but it is doing full backups most of the time, based on directory size! Soon, I will be out of disc space. How can I force differential backups? Can I delete oldest full backups to make space? How do I verify the integrity and "restorability" of backups? Don't want to find out too late that backups are bogus. Thanx.

Hi fioraval,
By default incremental backup is performed after the initial full backup. You can verify it by checking the content of the backup bags.
If only full backups are performed, please provide me with the detailed steps you used to backup files for further research.
