Home Network shared files are visible but not accessible
I had a perfectly working home network, sharing files between 5 systems, (2 intel P4 desktops running 2002 xp pro sp2, 1 intel P4 desktop 2002 xp home sp2, 1 toshiba sattelite laptop 2002 xp home sp3, and an HP pavillion dv6 laptop w/2007 vista home premium 64 bit). the network is connected as follows: DSL modem to a linksys router, out of the router into a hub, desktops connected to the hub, laptops running wireless through the lynksys. Suddenly one dreadful morning, the blue screen of death appeared on one of the xp pro desktops, which happens to be the system used for main file storage. After a trip to my ninja computer tech guru, we discovered that the drive had failed, so we ran a recovery program (Acronis True Image) and cloned the drive to a new one (WD1600AAJS SATA), installed a new motherboard (Intel DG41TY), cpu (Intel Core2 Duo 2.93GHz), video card (Nvidia GeForce 8400GS), and replaced the power supply. We also installed Windows sp3. I brought the unit home, reconnected everything exactly like it was originally, and rebooted everything in the network. Checking My Network Places on each system, all shared files are showing up exactly like they were originally, however, when trying to access any shared file on the newly repaired system from any of the other systems, I get this error msg: \\(Computer Name)\(File Name) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. I have checked every network setting I know of as well as running the network troubleshooting wizard without success. Any and all comments and/or suggestions are very much appreciated. 1 person needs an answerI do too

After a little searching through this forum, I found a similar post and answer here . The necessary value for my IRPStackSize was 18. Thanks to Steve Winograd, you're a gentleman and a scholar!

I have the same issue but pardon my novice skills, what is IRPStackSize and where and how do I change/update its value? Thanks.

Follow this link for detailed instructions. It's a registry value. Antivirus software may cause Event ID 2011
