I have automatic updates enabled on my machine, on the 14th I noticed after updates my machine had network connectivity; however, it was unable to access the internet. I tried several different troubleshooting methods and eventually uninstalled the latest updates from my machine. I was able to determine that the above hotfix is the culprit and it seems the fix actually invokes the original security issue. I will temporarily disable automatic updates to prevent any issues, but would like this investigated. I can provide specific hardware details if necessary.
