Hotmail accounts sending out emails to all addresses in address book when PC is switched off.
Yesterday at about 7.25 GMT my hotmail address was used to send out 8 emails, each of them to the max number of addresses possible for a single email, covering between them every address in my address book. Each of the 8 emails had an attachment, which looked like a web hot link. Each of the 8 web links was different but all had the extension /feb.php . The people who actually opened the emails said the web pages didn't exist, but presumably the web link contained some malicious link. One of the addressees was my wife, and today her hotmail addres was used in the same way. In between whiles we had bought some Spybot software and had run it across the whole PC and got rid of suspicious data, so I am puzzled that this still happened to my wife. I have changed my hotmail password and she will shortly change hers, but will all our addressees have to do the same, or is it too late? 1 person got this answerI do too
