How-to create an ISO image from Windows 7 Pro
I can burn data and music files to CDs and DVDs disc. But I don't see the ability to create an ISO (archive file) from a folder which contains data and or music files. Can this be done or do I need a third party application?

I believe you will need a third party program. Windows 7 can burn an ISO but not create one.

That's for the confirmation. While waiting for an answer I discover this small third party application called Folder2Iso and it does the trick.

You can use a free utility called ImgBurn to burn ISO files. Please note: we provide the third party software for technical use only. There may be some changes without notice, Microsoft doesn't guarantee any accuracy on contacting information. Dale

Is this true of ImgBurn? This was one of the customer reviews about the application. To say the least I backed off this thing. I'll stay with Folder2Iso, thanks. --- http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/ImgBurn/1128426215/1 Reviewing 2.5.1.0 (Mar 18, 2010) Now packed with a bunch of spyware and malware which STILL gets installed even if you did not choose to during install. We know these tactics all too well. 1 star and OFF my system !

I have been using IMGBurn for a long time and have never had a problem nor have I seen any ads or malware. I don't know what he is talking about. As long as your happy with the app you found then I would stick with it.
