I can burn data and music files to CDs and DVDs disc. But I don't see the ability to create an ISO (archive file) from a folder which contains data and or music files. Can this be done or do I need a third party application?

I believe you will need a third party program. Windows 7 can burn an ISO but not create one.

That's for the confirmation. While waiting for an answer I discover this small third party application called Folder2Iso and it does the trick.

I have been using IMGBurn for a long time and have never had a problem nor have I seen any ads or malware. I don't know what he is talking about. As long as your happy with the app you found then I would stick with it.
