How Do I Setup Windows Remote Assistance in Window 7/2008 using Group Policy
I have setup the ovious GPO Setings under
Computer Config > Administrative Temples> System> Remote Assitance> Offer remote assitance
Some how I feel the needs to be a firewall portion to this.
Also Do i need to enable allow remote connections?

You will need to open up the firewall to allow remote from the internet, make sure passwords are very strong

Remote Assistance is available for a fee.
I am best with C++ and I am learning C# using Visual Studio 2010

if you have a real router then foward the ports
rdp 3389 both TCP and UDP
I remind you that doing that will leave your server open to the internet and exposed to hackers galore.

Regarding the firewall settings in Group Policy, please navigate to the following path:
Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Network/Network Connections/Windows Firewall/Domain Profile
You could configure the setting:
Windows Firewall: Allow local program exceptions.
