How can I check my router for IGD byte counter support?
According to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa363133%28VS.85%29.aspx the router has to support UPnP IGD byte counters or the BITS (background intelligent transfer service) might not detect the idle bandwidth properly. Therefore I'd like to know how can I ensure whether my router supports this or is there any tool available for this purpose? There's tool called IGDTestTool.exe inside Windows Logo Kit (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd327397.aspx ) that tests for this capability. Because the whole WLK is too large to download, I'd like to know if anybody has this tool standalone and does it operate without the Windows logo kit installed?
