How do I give Standard User firewall configuration permissions?
Hi,
I would like to verify what you want Windows Firewall do. Firewall usually likes the front door to prevent hacker and malicious software. It uses for blocking or allowing
connections, not for configuring user accounts.

If you want to allow the standard users to configure firewall settings, you can add them into
Network Configuration Operators group.
If you want the standard use to run a special program, you can try
Parental Controls.

I have a laptop which will be provided to a student to use for homework and we want to allow them to add exceptions to the Windows Firewall in Windows 7. They can't be given administrator accounts as they are not allowed and cannot be allowed to install
software, but we need them to be able to add Firewall exceptions.
Does anyone have a method for providing this?
