How do I retrieve user accounts (logins) after a Windows XP reinstall?
(from a response on a similar question with an answer from Michael. The operating system mentioned there was Vista) Hi Michael...I read through the document you provided. Is there something similar for Windows XP? I had the problem of not being able to login to my computer because of a missing or corrupt configsys file. After reinstalling Windows XP I could not find or get my original logins (user accounts). I can find the files that were there in the Documents and Settings folder. I did backup my documents and desktop to an external drive. I just don't know how to put this all back together again...Hope you can help...and thanks! genegenethedancemachine
