How often do offline files get synchronised by default in Windows 7
Can't seem to find anything concrete on this. There used to be a GPO for Windows XP that forced a sync at logoff but this is not available in Windows 7 to my knowledge. I assumed that this might instead be automatically cached when I file is put there but
I dropped a couple of files in the offline folder, waited a minute or two and logged off/on (without the net cable when logging back on) and was unable to access the files.
Thanks

Hi bondy,
Windows 7 will synchronize the offline files when the files are updated on the computer and when scheduled or manually done when on the network.
When the files are updated offline, then they should be sync'd when the computer is on the network again.

Do you find that this occurs? Are the files being updated?

Cheers, so in theory at least, files in a sychronised folder should be cached pretty much immediately?
