How to Setup Remote printing?
I have a computer at home that is running windows 7 (home premium/professional?) x64, and a Windows Server 2003 x32 at work. I am using RDP to connect to the server (obviously I'm connecting to a different network). I have a Canon mf4100 connected to my
home computer, and I am wondering how to have it setup so that I can print from the server to my printer at home...I have already changed the setting in the remote desktop connection so that it is sharing local devices and printers, but I still don't see the
printer in the print menu of the server when I want to print something...that's about it

Hi,
The Local Resources option is use to share the local device to remote machine. If you want to print on this remote machine, you could map your
drives on it. Open your files on Windows 7 machine then print it.
Hope that helpsWilliam Tan

Print from a remote computer to your printer
During a Remote Desktop session, you can use your printer to print documents that are stored on the remote computer. You need to set this up just before you connect. The setting will be saved so that you won't need to change it the next time you connect.
1.Open Remote Desktop Connection by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Remote Desktop Connection.
2.Click Options, and then click the Local Resources tab.
3.Under Local devices and resources, select the Printers check box.
4.Click Connect to start the session.
Make sure that you select your printer in the Print dialog box each time you print.
