How to Update Enhanced USB Drivers, Without Losing USB Keyboard & Mouse Connectivity?
I have several Intel motherboard-based systems, all without PS/2 connections; therefore, all keyboards and mice are connected, via enhanced USB or USB 2.0 ports. So, whenever I attempt a driver update to the enhanced USB ports, I lose connectivity to my keyboard and mouse, forcing me to pull the power on my systems, to reboot and install the new drivers. How can I update the enhanced USB drivers, without forcing a “hard” shutdown and without losing connectivity to my USB-based keyboard and mouse? Thank you.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Voltron-IU, · What are you referring to when you say “enhanced drivers”?· Are you updating the drivers or the software for the keyboard and mouse?· Is there any specific reason for you to do this?· What is the make of the keyboard and mouse you are using? Majority of the Keyboards and Mice are Plug and Play devices which don`t actually need any drivers to be updated unless otherwise stated.
