How to disable D drive?
Hi Team,I have two login one is admin & another is Guest. Also, i have 4 partition on my hard discNow i dont want to give acess of D drive to Guest login & other drive are acesseble to Guest.Kindly suggest.Regards.1 person needs an answerI do too

One easy way is to encrypt all folders in drive D:, you could go to that driver and then select all folders and then right click propertise and in general Tab click advance and the chose encrypt , note some editions doesn't have this feature.In the other hand , if you create something as Admin in any folder then users as guest or standard user could not access them unless you make some permissions before.Try to create guest account and see if you can access contains in admin or not.

I have two log in with Admin & Guest.Now problem is I have not give acess of "D:/" drive to local user & it's only acesseable to ADMIN user.I have do this as given below -My Computer>tool>folder Option>view>removed check from "Use simple file sharing"Now, from local user account i'm not able to acess "D" drive which is fine but i'm also not able to copy/paste any file in other drive like E:/ & F:/.Please tell me how could i disable the "D" drive from local user account. Regards.

If you encrypt files using EFS and lose the ability to access them for any number of reasons, you will not be able to recover the data.2. You are are the right track by disabling Simple File Sharing. The NTFS file system uses "permissions" to control access to files.
