How to enable SeDebugPrivilege
Hello TechNet, I am trying to get Battlefield 2, a game, to work on my PC. I am not sure how familiar you are with PunkBuster, but it is a program that prevents me from playing if I do not have it installed. I cannot install PunkBuster, apparently because I do not have SeDebugPrivilege enabled. Here is the error that pops up when I try to run the installation program for PunkBuster. **ERROR: The administrator privilege check failed. (Could not enable SeDebugPrivilege) If you need assistance with this, please visit our FAQ page at http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsvcfaq.php I have tried and searched for everything coming off this message. I fished through the internet for information on SeDebugPrivilege, ran the program as an administrator, and messed with/searched for relevant Vista settings to no avail. I am lost and hope that someone will be able to help me out. I know it sounds like a question I should ask on a gaming forum but because SeDebugPrivilege is an action on Windows and not PunkBuster or the game itself, I felt it would be appropriate to ask here. Thank you, and your help is much appreciated. If you need more information, please leave a message.

According to the help page, you need to right-click on installation file and choose “Run as administrator”. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
