How to gain access outside your own network?
I want to be able to have my friends and familly logging into my homecomputer from their homes to watch movies, pictures and such. I want to be able to make different users and have different access for each users....if possible? How can this be done n Win7? Do I need to set up an VPN account or...? Do I need static IP address?

Well remote access using very low video bit rate so watching movies will not be something which one would do via remote access. safe way to do it is to use something like teamviewer.com

Well...that was something I hoped not to..As I have understood, I have to grant access everytime someone want's to access the computer.....

No you do not have to grant access. If you have the pro or above win 7 you can use the RDP but you must forward the port 3389 to the box behind your router, but once they login you are logged out and do see the screen. Logmein, teamviewer and others are MUCH better than the builted in RDP of microsofts. but the same deal applies, watching videos will not work well using remote access.
