How to limit network display to show workgroup computers only.
When I click on Network in Windows 7 x64 enterprise, my computer displays the names of hundreds of systems, not just the 11 computers in my workgroup. Our workgroup computers are connected to a subnet at work, but do not login to a domain. It appears that win7 is detecting all of the computers connected to the subnet. When my lab was running winXP, network neighborhood only showed our workgroup computers. How can I limit the network display to my workgroup only. Thamnks in advance for any help with this problem.

Hi, There is a design change on the Network Explorer since Windows Vista. For more information, please just refer to the following document: Explore the features: Networking (Please note the section “Network Explorer”.) Based on my knowledge, I think this behavior could not be changed; as a work around, you can just map some network drives of the share folders which you frequently access. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
