How to permanently disable this warning message?
https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/getfile/49334/ Hi, If you want to ignore this message, you may try to uncheck the Windows troubleshooting maintenance message for a test: Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Action Center\Change Action Center settings, uncheck Windows Troubleshooting. Meanwhile, this message pop up after you switch a new video card, I suggest you go to device manger to uninstall the Display adapter, and then install the driver to see what the result is. Alex Zhao TechNet Community Support Unfortunately, this appears to not have an impact on the situation. I just got the prompt after quitting from Total War: Shogun 2 though in this case this particular game did not crash because of the message. Any other ideas for disabling it? Also when attempting to post here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprogeneral/thread/dce6aa11-77c4-4f58-97d2-d1fb02bffd33 I get a blank dialog box pop up, I assume the thread is locked or something? (I dunno, the dialog box is blank!) also can't edit my other message here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprogeneral/thread/e91c56d1-ed31-4f09-94df-d1ee8849f967 as it shows the same blank dialog popup. I can however create questions! Though powerfull is your computer configuration, the "war" seems to prevail. IMHO you will either disable Action Center or live with this message, unless the game vendor would program games in better way. Here is how to disable Action Center: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-disable-the-windows-7-action-center.html Have you joined the support forum of game vendor? Chances are that you are not alone and someone has found solution. Regards Milos

Hi , You can try to disable themes service which will turns off aero while the game is running. 1.Click start, type services.msc, press enter. 2.Find Themes service, double click open the Properties. 3.Click stop under service status. Hope this helps. Tracy Cai TechNet Community Support

Although that may resolve it, it is less then desirable as Windows 7 without Aero is fugly. Also as far as I am aware, applications that utilize an exclusive fullscreen display mode automatically disable Aero while they're in focus.Core i7 920 @ 2.66GHZ | ASUS P6T Mother Board | 6 gig DDR3 1600 RAM | 2x 500g SATA2 HDD | Integrated sound | Gainward Geforce GTX 560Ti "Phantom 2" 2048MB PCI-E (latest drivers) | Windows 7 Home Premium x64 | Thermaltake 750watt Toughpower Power Supply | Thermaltake Armor+ MX case.
