My child's Toshiba laptop is infected with BlockKeeper virus. It acts like Spyware Protect 2009 but the tools I used to remove that haven't worked. There is information on the internet about removing this but I'm not sure who I can trust to download repair files from. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Basic

Hello. If I where you I would download Avast Anti Virus, but you must restart the laptop and register, but for free! http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html . That Is the first option what I would do. If you can't take the virus off I would take the computer to a local virus doctor. I hope that fixes your child's laptop. Good luck.
