To disable LCP extension, follow these steps: Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Dial-Up Networking . Click the phone book entry for your ISP in the Phonebook Entry To Dial box. Click More , and then click Edit Entry And Modem Properties . Click the Server tab, click the Enable PPP LCP Extensions check box to clear it, and then click OK .

Mukesh,Thanks for replying but that doesnt work,as soon as i connect it resets the configurations which indicates some dll or any other sys file is reseting those settings ,so as i cant read .dll files it makes a bit dificult to find where to change the lcp settings so i was looking for some essential(separate) dll file or other for lcp extension to run...any help is apreciated!!Kind regards,RR

If you think that some system files have gone corrupt, run SFC /Scannow to fix any corrupted system files............. You can use the following command from an elevated CMD setppp name=connectioname lcp=disabled Let us know how it goes.......

Hi Mukesh,Thanks a lot for replying and about file corruption im not sure unless the modem installed(3g hspa) corrupts that but as you advised me im going to try that later from admin account to see if it works and i really really hope that works by changing a dll file and set to false(Disable)!!!Again thanks a lot for assisting me and will reply this thread later!Kind regards,RR

If its a dialup connection and if already setup, you can try the following from an elevated CMD prompt. setinterface name= connectioname lcp=disabled

Hi Mukesh ,i already did it and didnt work i mean no error occurred while performing that but had no effects on my dial-up connection..setinterface name= Myconnectioname lcp=disabledbut no success as i told ya it must be a Dll shell that is invoked when i connect to the internet so guess only with an Hex editor would solve my problem IF i knew what numbers correspond to the LCP settings which is not something so exciting but i think it might have a registry or a couple entries that LCP needs to comunicate so prolly if i delete it it wont run properly which means LCP disabled....Any thoughts?Kind regards,RR
