How to see Windows 7 Home Premium shares from Mac OS X
Like many others, I'm having difficulties being able to see my Windows 7 Home Premium shares from Mac OS X 10.6. With the beta version of Windows 7, I had to make an adjustment in the Local Security Policy, but since Home Premium doesn't have that,
I can't make the change to allow my Mac to see my shares. How can I make my Windows shares available to my Mac?
Thanks

You need to change NTLM authentication level to “Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”. Since we cannot edit this policy via Group Policy Editor in Windows 7 Home Premium, please follow the steps below to change it in
Registry.
1. Launch regedit from Start Search box.
2. Find the following branch.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
3. Create a DWORD key under Lsa and set:
Name: LmCompatibilityLevel
Value: 1
4. Restart.Arthur Xie - MSFT
