How to stop script error messages?
Running Win XP home sp3 IE 8 OE 6 MSE 1.0.1611 For the last 3 to 4 weeks I have been getting daily script error messages when opening email messages on OE6. I am not aware of having changed any IE or OE settings. Under IE-Tools-Internet Options-Advanced-Browsing the following boxes are checked Disable script debugging IE; Disable script debugging other; and Display a notification about every script error is unchecked. In OETools-Options-Security-Block images and other external content in HTML email is checked. Why am I now getting all these script errors?1 person got this answerI do too

In OE go to: Tools | Options | Security and set OE to the Restricted Zone. That should remove active scripting and do away with the error messages. Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]

Thanks Bruce. I will certainly try your recommendation. Curious why should this issue all of a sudden come up? Does it have to do with the latest MS security patches? Also could you tell me if by going to Restricted Zone I will lose any OE functionality?

This has been an issue for many years. Some people never see it and it can start at any time. I run in the Restricted Zone and it does not affect anything I do. Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]
