How to un-save password for shared file?
I needed to access my brother's files on our mac from my Windows 7 computer over the network. We went through the usual steps, and when asked, he entered his password to access his files, but we accidentally "remembered" the password. Now I need to access my own files on that mac, but whenever I enter the IP address in RUN, it takes me directly to the shared folders linked with his account. Any help appreciated. Thanks This is why I prefer Mac. Other than software compatibility (which can be fixed by BootCamp, Parallels, or VMWare Fusion), all the settings and everything is easy to find and change without entering my password a thousand times to just REMOVE a saved password from a network share folder.

Hi, You can go to Credential Manager, under Windows Credentials, find the MAC location name and remove it. Before removing it, please don't forget to back up the vault.
