How to uninstall Windows Media Center?
I accidentally clicked on a file association question and now Windows Media Center has taken over most file launches attempted on my machine. How do I uninstall this monster? I want my computer back..... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try System Restore. If it does not work, I suggest you rebuild your user profile. Follow the given steps: 1. Click the "Start" orb, and type "uninstall a program" (without quotes) in the search box. 2. Click "Uninstall a program" in the search results. 3. Click "Turn Windows features on or off" on the left-hand pane. 4. Click the "+" next to "Media Features" in the list of Windows components, and uncheck "Windows Media Center." Click "Yes" in the confirmation window. 5. Click "OK" to disable Windows Media Center. 6. Click "Restart Now" in the prompt requesting such. After your computer restarts, Windows Media Center will be disabled.Email Spam Blocker | Lenovo Support
